The Summer Challenge
Research shows over the summer, on average, pupils’ achievement scores fall by one months’ worth of learning – with increased loss for pupils from low-income families who struggle to afford educational materials and activities. For this reason, there is a huge need for accessible academic programming over the summer months that prevents learning loss and ensures pupil progress is maintained even outside of the school year.
The Summer Challenge keeps our pupils engaged and thinking even when school’s out. It encourages them to get innovate, work as a team and apply some of what they’ve learned during term time to change the world.
